... I cry when I watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. every.single.time.
... I love coloring. Seriously, when I taught preschool I used to color with the kids all the time.
... I am a TERRIBLE clapper. My sorority sisters can verify the fact that finding the beat is just impossible for me.
... On a semi-regular basis I blast the soundtrack from The Sound Of Music and sing and dance along.
... When I cook alone I like to pretend that I am the host of a cooking show and day dream about writing a cookbook.
... I really want to have a birthday party with a bounce house and inflatable giant sock-um-bobbers.
... I could (okay fine, have) just eaten chips and guacamole for dinner.
... I have a total old-man nerd crush* on Rick Steves. Yes, Rick Steves the prolific guidebook writer and NPR host. (I can't believe I just admitted this one!)
... I love blowing bubbles in milk with a straw.
... My favorite N*SYNC member was Joey Fatone.
* Old man crushes are a special breed of crushes. He is obviously WAY too old for you but you would totally try to set your mom up with him**. For example: Stabler from Law and Order SVU, Craig Ferguson, and a certain unnamed friend of mine once said she thought Al Gore was hot (she actually said a young Al Gore was hot but she's never going to live it down).
** But only if your mom is single and goes for slightly younger men.

Wow. I'm with you on so many of these. Crazy. Everything but the cooking and the clapping.
Joey Fatone was so charming. And I cry at the end of EMHE. And the Sound of Music thing. My old man crush is Steve Martin though.

old man crushes!! don't get me started!!!
goodness i loved this!!
I am a horrible clapper too! It really does rain A LOT in the pacific northwest. All along Interstate 5 from Roseburg, Oregon too Seattle Washington it rains at some point almost everyday from October-mid June. I actually really like the rain but sometimes I just get so tired of being cold. Because it's so damp the cold feels really different then it does in dry climates. My husband is from eastern oregon where it's really dry and he says it feels colder in Eugene when it's 42 and rainy then in La Grande when its 25 and snowing. Although probably nothing compared to Chicago winters.
Dude! You don't understand how much I love Ricky Steves (that's my name for him). My mom and I LOVE his guidebooks.....he's just so funny and presh! It's not weird at all, at least I don't think so....but actually, that doesn't make it not weird.....
OH MY GOSH! i cry watching home makeover too!!! the stories are so sad! one time they made over not just the house but the hospital's children unit where the family's kid was being treated. i was BALLING!
Hugh Laurie oh my gosh, Hugh Laurie. Also? Kevin Bacon. No one gets it but phew, I'd love to get Footloose with him. I'm big into the Sound of Music and cry every. single. time. during the part where Georg sings "Edelweiss."
I totally cry watching home makeover too!!!! AND I always go in the bouncey houses at kids birthday parties...you know....just to "help" ;)
Meredith, I totally love you. There is nothing to be embarrassed about..I have also definitely only chips and dip for dinner..blast sound of music..love to color and I love Stabler! LOL..we're meant to be!
ummm I TOO pretend I have my own cooking show on the food network - it doesn't matter if i'm makign Kraft Mac & Cheese or a three course meal. Matt, however, has caught me mid-performance on more than 1 occasion. But the mirrors that are behind my kitchen countertop just make it too easy!
